MOTIVATE YOUR EMPLOYEES AFTER THEY RETURN FROM VACATION WITH A CORPORATE CATERING

Updated: Oct 19, 2021

Summer is the time when your company empties, everyone goes on vacation. Between cocktails, fine sand and lazy days, motivating your employees after that can be extremely complex.

But you have to understand them. Who doesn't dream of hearing the sound of the waves all year round? Faced with these beautiful moments, you offer your employees days in front of the computer, permanent stress regarding projects and directives to follow.

HOW TO MOTIVATE YOUR EMPLOYEES AFTER RETURNING FROM VACATION

Getting back into the rhythm of work and team motivation is a struggle that can last for weeks. Especially in September, when you know that the sun will be replaced by greyness and shorter days. You need the magic bullet for your business success. To do this, you need to be ingenious and original to make your employees want to go back to work.

GIVE YOUR EMPLOYEES TIME

After returning from vacation, not being at the beach anymore can be difficult to manage. The return to the routine, to the city and to the stress does not necessarily make your employees want to come back to your company. You must therefore do everything you can to motivate your teams and make them feel good again in your premises.

Don't ask for too much from the start or your employees will feel overwhelmed. Be cooler the first two-three days to let your teams psychologically acclimatize to the "new school year".

ORGANIZE A TEAM BREAKFAST OR LUNCH

During the vacations, your employees have gone their own way and are no longer as united as before. Yet, team cohesion within your company is the key to your success. To motivate your employees, you need to create a good working atmosphere. Nothing better than a company breakfast or a team lunch.

With a good meal, appetizers, mignardises and drinks, your teams will get together to exchange, discuss their vacations and share personal moments with their families. This way, you guarantee that bonds are created within your company and make them want to come to work.

TAKE THE TIME TO UPDATE YOUR EMPLOYEES

Although some people in your company have gone on vacation, the activity has continued and projects have probably progressed well. Don't ask your employees to get up to speed on their own. It is essential that you take time to explain to them what has been done.

For this, you can organize a meeting around a company cocktail to inform everyone of the changes that have taken place during their absence and all the evolutions that some projects have undergone.

This can also be a good time to welcome the newcomers. Just because they are people who were already working in your company doesn't mean you shouldn't value their presence. This way, you will show the consideration you have for your teams.

NEW CHALLENGES TO BOOST YOUR TEAMS

Motivating your employees means offering them something new in their professional activity. No one wants a routine and long hours in front of their computer doing the same thing all the time.

You have to challenge your employees and offer them new challenges. With new challenges, you will motivate your teams and make them want to come back to your office to find new ideas and to surpass themselves.
